My main belief for what makes a successful family photoshoot is that you need plenty of fun and adventure. That's what makes children (and parents) forget that they are having their photographs taken, and leaves them to be distracted and smile and enjoy themselves. And that's how you get happy and memorable photographs that let everyone's characters come through.

Knole Park has so much to offer for a family photoshoot that ticks all these boxes. It has my favourite wall in Kent (see above!), lots of long tree lines avenues, trees to sit on, deer to gaze at, and a cafe as well (essential since it's not a low energy type of photoshoot!).

On this shoot I was blessed with energetic parents who were quite happy to play catch, do piggyback rides and generally keen the energy levels nice and high!

Granted that January may not be the most appealing time to go on long walk, but some days can be just wonderful nonetheless, so don't write it off totally. Even if it is too cold for you now though, Spring is just around the corner so do get in touch and set something up!
