Once or twice a year I spend a couple of days with the charity Demelza who run children's hospices in Kent and South-East London, taking photographs of the work they do both at their hospices and at the family's homes.
I'll freely admit to having been quite nervous before the first session I did with them since I didn't have any personal experience of a hospice environment and I wasn't at all sure of what to expect, or how I would react. Fast forward a couple of years and it's actually one of my favourite regular sessions now - everything is bright, colourful and fun, and it's all about providing the best care for the children and their families. Given the constraints and personal situation the children find themselves in, Demelza is all about making the most of it.
After the last couple of sessions I did with Demelza in the summer of 2015 they have used the images as part of a total refresh of their website. OK, I may be biased, but I think it looks great. Here are a few screenshots...
