Birthday photographs - what a great way to record your children as they grow up, and to turn into an annual tradition.

I've taken photographs for this young lady for her last three birthdays, and it has really struck me just how quickly she is growing up. Returning to the same family is sometimes a little more daunting than meeting them for the first time - as a photographer you don't really want to present them with much the same images as from the previous photoshoot - but this hasn't been a problem at all. Each time I visit, the birthday girl has grown up and is into doing different things, meaning that the photoshoots are all very different.

Fingers crossed I'll be back once more to see what she is up to one year further down the line!
